Cracking the seal on this blog
Hello world!
Yeah so , here is my first blog post. Big day, lots of music making, Westmount Squirrels hits the Examiner and I cleaned out all the drawers in my studio. I found lots of solder and Canare cable which is good news really.
I’d love to see and hear from folks, those I do know, and those I don’t know. Please do drop a line.
Any suggestions for cover tunes? I have a list that goes forever, but maybe some outside feedback would help.
Well that’s it for my day to day, for today at least.
//For the studio nerds like me: Looking forward to making some videos about my live rig when I finish building it. Ableton Live is the core, using a BCR & BCF2000, APC40, Korg MS20 controller, Alesis Control pad (even though its useless as…..well, I’ll keep this civil) and a Yamaha CS6X. Wondering if I’d really benefit live from having my 1073 (clone) and Valley compressor on the front end or just settle with the subpar Motu preamps on the 828 mkII….. stuff to ponder on while falling asleep I guess . I’ve made several wildly complex templates only to ask myself if it’s really needed….. which it likely isn’t. In any case, I’ll make some side videos showing some tricks I devised to slave BCR/BCF2000s to an APC40 so that you are always in focus via program change and have a pile of knobs to tweak! As always I’m pretty dependant on N.I Komplete, especially when in studio, but in a live situation , it’s pretty solid too. Also, I must say, the TAL Audio Bassline is a solid little beast too. I get a lot of milage out of that, assign the perimeters to the MS20v and away I go, plus it’s free!! 64bit support (hemmmm….. Ableton!!) and program change response would be sweet, but beggars can’t be choosers! So clearly I need to learn to say stuff that the other 99% care about as this nerd ramble was too long, and I’d rather have pretty girls following this blog. IF there are pretty girls that found this section interesting and informative – I’m thrilled beyond words.
